Emergency Assistance

The Purdue Center of Hope

The Emergency Assistance program (Food Pantry and Utility Assistance), located at The Purdue Center of Hope assists people on the verge of homelessness by providing immediate basic living needs such as food and utility assistance for the last $100 of an overdue utility bill, as funds are available. The Food Pantry operates on Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Senior day is the third Thursday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A week's worth of food is provided. Utility assistance is dependent on available funds. Payments are made directly to Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW). All requests are verified by the Emergency Assistance Coordinator.
