OverviewThe Salvation Army in Memphis offers numerous services aimed at making life better for those in need. On any given day we provide shelter for women and children, rehabilitation services for women and for men, arts, education and recreational activities, and worship. Most of all we provide hope. The hope for a way out of addiction. The hope that relationships can be rebuilt. The hope for the future through education and empowerment. While people are familiar with The Salvation Army's Red Kettle (bell ringing) campaign and the Angel Tree program, many are less familiar with our year-round work, serving the needs of the poor, abused, addicted and homeless in the Memphis-area. Every year, we help more than 17,000 people, provide more than 60,000 nights of lodging, and serve more than 200,000 meals and snacks. We provide an opportunity to change lives and learn about God's love. Our servicesAt the Purdue Center of Hope »
