Salvation Army needs your help

With only four days left in their Red Kettle campaign, the local chapter of the Salvation Army needs to raise $71,000.

The chapter's goal is $250,000, which must be met by Dec. 23. They won't ring bells on Christmas Eve, because it falls on Sunday this year.

Money raised through the campaign helps the Salvation Army operate its homelessness, addiction, utility assistance and other giving programs throughout the year.

Kettles are located at more than 70 Wal-Mart, Schnucks, Sam's Club, Walgreens and Kroger stores.
