Children to experience Christmas spiritSalvation Army volunteer Rhonda Lay sifts through thousands of bikes and toys on Friday preparing for the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program giveaway. "Memphis has an amazing volunteer spirit," said Maj. Rhea Woodcock. The organization has collected thousands of new toys since mid-November to assist more than 8,000 recipients. The goods will be distributed today from a warehouse on Raines Road.
