Coffee Break: Want to ring a bell?

Nothing announces the beginning of the holiday season quite like the constant tinkle of The Salvation Army's cadre of bell-ringers.

The nonprofit is seeking bell-ringing volunteers this year for its annual Red Kettle Campaign.

The Salvation Army in Memphis raised more than $372,000 during last year's campaign. It hopes to raise $400,000 this year. The funds provide food and shelter for the needy throughout the year.
