Students help ready presents for families

By George Carnall, Special to My Life

Friday, January 1, 2010

The SBEC Senior High Student Council traveled to the Angel Tree Warehouse on Dec. 11 for its annual project. Fourteen students and three sponsors sorted presents and bicycles for the Adopt-An-Angel project sponsored by the Salvation Army.

In addition to preparing gifts and presents for other families, the Student Council members brought gifts for four angels the school had adopted. The students feel they are the blessed ones as a result of preparing gifts for others in need.

George Carnall is the director of Development for Southern Baptist Educational Center (SBEC) in Southaven.
