The Salvation Army Announces New Board Officers


MEMPHIS, Tennessee, January 17, 2008 — The Salvation Army today announced its new board officers.

Scott Crosby attorney at Burch, Porter & Johnson PLLC, is the new board chair; Phil Reed, Vice President Marketing, Pinnacle Airlines Corp is vice chair; Luther Gardner, Forest Hill Funeral Home is secretary; and Dave Ferraro, Presiding Director of Buckeye Technology Inc. is treasurer. In addition, Barbara Phillips has been elected to the board as its newest member.

"We are pleased to have the strong leadership each of our officers brings to the table," said Major Mark Woodcock, Area Commander, The Salvation Army. "We rely on our board for a variety of things from strategic thinking to rallying community support to bell-ringing. We feel these officers have the necessary skills to continue the wonderful work their predecessors started."
