The Salvation Army Now Accepts Credit Cards at Some Kettle Locations
In an attempt to help avoid hectic holiday shopping, The Salvation Army is making donating easier than ever by introducing Cashless Kettles. This year, shoppers will find donating to be a simple, easy and fast process by using the Cashless Kettles, which are located at six different locations throughout the Memphis area.
At these six locations, shoppers will have the option of donating with cash, credit or debit card. For those using the Cashless Kettles, donations can be made by simply swiping your card and entering the donation amount.
Every year, The Salvation Army raises money for its on-going programs such as homeless shelters, family services, drug and alcohol rehabilitation services and children programs through its Red Kettle Campaign. Our Cashless Kettles can be found at Hobby Lobby (near Wolfchase), Wolfchase Galleria (Food Court Entrance), Kroger Hwy 70 (Summer and Appling), Oak Court Mall (Poplar Entrance), Kroger 540 Mendenhall (at Sanderlin) and Schnucks 3150 Forest Hill Irene (at Poplar).
The Cashless Kettle system is a safe and secure way to give back to the community seeing as participants have the option of operating the Cashless Kettles on their own or with the help of a volunteer. The Salvation Army in Dallas, TX, implemented this system last Christmas and saw great results. The Cashless Kettles, which allow the use of debit or credit-card, accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
The Salvation Army appreciates all the donations made to continue its efforts of doing the most good to the people in need, and is happy to provide a quick and easy way to donate during the rush of the holiday season.
