The Salvation Army Searches for
Memphis’ Most Passionate Volunteer

Are you a dedicated volunteer committed to building a better community in Memphis? Know someone who is? Only a few days remain for entering The Salvation Army’s Doing the Most Good award.

The Salvation Army is looking for an outstanding volunteer who is “doing the most good” in the greater Memphis area. We are searching for someone whose volunteer service encompasses the fields of service provided by The Salvation Army such as providing the basic necessities - food, shelter and clothing - for those who need help. Volunteer service does not need to have been done with The Salvation Army to qualify.

Entry deadline is noon, Monday, April 26. You can learn more about the award and its criteria by reading the nomination information. Completed forms can be e-mailed to Doingthemostgood@brainwoo.com or faxed to 901-201-5814.

The Doing the Most Good award will be presented at The Salvation Army’s “Everyday Heroes Building a Solid Community” dinner on May 17th. Keynote speaker Mike Huckabee, 44th Governor of Arkansas and 2008 presidential candidate, will present the award at a reception prior to the dinner. For more information on the dinner, please contact Elizabeth Duncan at Elizabeth_duncan@uss.salvationarmy.org or at 901-260-9130. You can also click here for information on the dinner.
